JOB SUMMARY



Systems Administration in Corporate Headquarters.

Team Service rep / POC for MIS department for Corporate and site support for systems hardware & software and other administrative concerns.

Help Desk rep

Purchasing assistance and research

Backup for staff members within MIS department

EXPERIENCE



Required 3-5 years of Microsoft Systems Administration. This includes helpdesk, desktop/server installation, configuration, patch management, disaster/recovery, hardware/software purchase recommendations, performance tuning, system / network security.

3-5 years LAN administration including cabling, fundamental understanding of TCP/IP v4 networking.

Knowledge of network protocols: DNS, DHCP, FTP, HTTP, NETBIOS, and SMTP. Software experience: Exchange, IIS, Microsoft Office, and Windows 2000/03/XP.

Desired 3+ years of Solaris and/or Linux Systems Administration desired.

3+ years Firewall/VPN concepts and experience a plus.

2+ years of Microsoft Sharepoint administration.

Wireless technologies experience would be helpful.

Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) with emphasis on Chapter 8 requirements.

Accreditation is a plus or ability to complete ISSO Accreditation.



TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES



Required



• Assists the Director with analysis, maintenance, revision, and evaluation of the organization’s IT needs.

• Desktop/Server management of Windows 2000/XP/2003 professional/server including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance of software/hardware and peripherals.

• Perform Backup and Recovery processes for Enterprise computing environment.

• LAN Administration including patch management, cabling, switch/router management, and network performance tuning.

• Provide helpdesk support including: email troubleshooting, Microsoft Office support, MALWARE removal, faulted hardware diagnosis and replacement, data migration, desktop performance analysis/tuning, and software/hardware upgrades.

• Enterprise Software responsibilities include: Microsoft Domain Networking, Symantec SMTP Gateway, Exchange, IIS, SharePoint, and DNS.

• Recommend software and hardware purchases.

• Manage company inventory.

Ensure IT software/hardware is tracked and accounted for within inventory.

• Manage user accounts.

• Manage company telephone system.

• Support for after hours and weekends is only necessary a few times a year during critical outages and upgrades.

• Ensure absolute customer satisfaction.

• Self starter and be adaptive to constant competing priorities.

• Take initiative and have the ability to research, test, and implement solutions to complex technical issues.

• Flexible to making smart decisions on technologies that support various business needs.
