Description
SMARTSOURCE has an installation scheduled for GE Healthcare on Tuesday, October 3rd at 9:00 AM Pacific Time.
It will be at Anaheim Memorial Medical Center at 1111 West La Palma Ave., Anaheim, CA 92801.

The installation involves setting up a Linux server that will be waiting onsite for the engineer, installing GE's proprietary software on it, configuring a MRI or CT scanner to connect to the Linux box, and waiting onsite for GE to connect and verify that all is okay. Everything is very well documented, but attention to detail is very important. Typically, a standard install takes about four hours. Basically, we need an experienced technician who has at least some knowledge of Linux - one or two years of experience would be great.

A key factor is that this person has to have a laptop with a serial port and null modem cable (or a USB to serial adapter and null modem
cable) because that is how they connect up to the Linux box - there is no monitor or keyboard included with the machine. They also need a cellphone at which we can reach them throughout the install.df-tc
