Description
New Mexico based well respected organization is seeking a Network Administrator. Day to day duties include maintaining Windows 2000/2003 servers, Exchange 2003 and the organizations security systems including firewalls, routers, phones etc. Provide exceptional desktop support to end users. The Senior Network Administrator will ensure the consistent security, integrity and operation of hardware, software, servers and data, providing support in the troubleshooting, installation and upgrading of User work stations and telecom devices. Network Administrator Responsibilities include but not limited to:Managing Information Security Systems including firewalls, routers, phones and servers. · Examine/configure firewall, backup jobs and server logs as well as intrusion detection and react as necessary.· Clean SPAM from mail system and folders.· Periodically scan the network for vulnerabilities and patch all systems for security and service.· Program and maintain the VoIP phone system.· Manage network traffic and bandwidth by examining database server and backup logs and reacting as necessary.· Manage the security of databases.· Create infrastructure including public folders, shares and assist internal Users with movement of data.· Maintain internal user administration by creating accounts, email addresses and PC configuration and providing orientation on the network.· Administer the internal security system including access cards and door alarms. · Assist end users with issues related to Operating Systems, Network Infrastructure, Applications, and Remote Connectivity.· Procure software, hardware, licensing and accessories from vendors.· Document and maintain administrator logins for network and vendors and any other sensitive data as needed. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of related experience. Must have strong windows 2000/2003, MS Exchange and experience with VLAN, firewalls, VPN and security. Basic SQL Administration skills is ideal. Must have very strong troubleshooting skills and AD/GPO experience. Candidates with certifications is a plus (MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, CCNP, A+, NETWORK+, SECURITY+, CCA, CCEA, CISSP). Excellent communication skills required
