CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people to help us grow! We have an immediate need for a TSM server application administrator!

CDI is currently recruiting for a TSM server application administrator:

The administrator of the TSM application on the TSM server. This person does not have root authority for the operating system but is granted authority to update the specific files associated with the TSM application. Their function is to administer the TSM application and use the associated tape library to store client data. They have control of the TSM application.
Position is WORK FROM HOME; 1st shift; Long Term W2 contract

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain the TSM server environment so that client data can be received, stored and returned to client systems as required:

Setup/Maintain the TSM server code including schedules, storage pools, management classes, TSM databases, recovery logs, performance parameters, and TSM server options file.
Register TSM clients on the TSM server if and when required.
Update/Maintain the client billing list on the TSM server or whatever means of billing is required
Run the billing script to create the billing input files (if required)
Place TSM clients on a schedule to backup each night.
Check the status of client backups each work day and report the status to the customer or designated contact.
Work with the TSM client system administrator, network team, and firewall team to resolve connectivity problems between the TSM client and TSM server. (Note: The TSM system administrator will not drive resolution of backup problems that are not caused by the TSM server, their role is to assist the TSM client system administrator unless the problem resides on the TSM server.)
Maintain contact information for each TSM client system registered to the TSM server.
Make daily checks of the TSM application to ensure the application is functioning correctly.
Work with TSM server system administrator to install TSMCOPS or whatever means of security is required. It will be the responsibility of the TSM server application administrator to configure and execute TSMCOPS on TSM servers. Sudo authority will have to be granted by the TSM server system administrator for this to be done.
Setup all cron jobs to conduct administrative duties and/or health checks for the TSM Server to report the success of backups and completion of all administrative functions of the tsm server.
Manage Task Management tickets to document all changes, updates and requests for the tsm server and the client requests.
Manage Change Management process for any client requests or tsm server updates or changes required to maintain the tsm server.
Interface with TSM support if required to open pmr=E2=80=99s for the maintenance or problem solving of any issues for the TSM application.
Reporting of the monthly measurements must be completed via a cron setup.df-tc
