Provide Production Support for Humana Enrollment Systems.

This individual most have strong understanding of Humana's IT strategy, development lifecycle and application/infrastructure, and IT service and support processes to add value to the business line.

Day-to-day activities will consist of coding, testing, implementation and support tasks needed to develop, maintain, and enhance computer solutions to meet the needs of the organization in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Systems analysis, design, and system's integration tasks will be assigned to broaden technical skills, enhance business knowledge, gain expertise and promote career development. The Applications Engineer will gain a greater level of understanding of the business function for which applications are designed.

Additionally, duties will include:

- Serve as a subject matter expert on production support issues and work activities.
- Manage work requests for adhoc reporting, audits, research, and small projects.


Additional Competencies (if applicable):

- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong technical experience in COBOL, JCL, SQL, DB2
- 5+ years mainframe programming experience.
- Experience desired in Smartest, Platinum/SPUIF, File-aid, TSO/ISPF, CICS, Stored Procedures.
- Experience with Oracle, .NET Framework, MS SQL Server, MS Biztalk a big PLUS.
- Experience with Medicare Products / Medicare Enrollment a plus.



Additional Requirements (if applicable):

- Minimum education level of Bachelors of Science, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years IT work experience.df-tc
