The Test Engineer designs and conducts the full range of tests needed to validate the functionality of ACS built software applications. The Test Engineer uses current testing technologies to test and debug enterprise level applications and enhancements. This includes employment of a combination of current manual testing methods plus automated testing technologies in the conduct of tests. The Test Engineer documents test results and may employ a defect tracking system. May work either independently and as a part of a Test Team. The Test Engineer may also be required to speak on technical topics, to assist application users, and to attend meetings.

The Test Engineer is well versed in software testing methodologies and SDLC. The Test Engineer is proficient in at least one group of Automated Testing Tools such as Rational, Mercury, or Compuware. Preference is given to Test Engineer Applicants having experience with one or more of the following technologies: software development Frameworks; writing Junit tests; testing software applications built with J2EE and Oracle 10g. Preference is also given for a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
