Description
The Vice President of Data Center Services will build, manage and maintain the production processing Facilities and Systems (Data Centers) for the company including technical hardware, printing hardware and middleware. Overall focus will be on managing facilities (Power, Cooling, and Space), Servers and Data Storage devices (recoverability and availability) and associated systems software and middle ware components aimed at maximizing availability and up time.


Responsible for establishing aggressive benchmarks for availability, recoverability and related SLAs within target budget.

Responsible for installing and maintaining the monitoring agents which will feed the NOC organization and the associated business uptime metrics and deliverables.

Will work closely with the Network Services Leader in managing all Data Center systems environments across all life cycles (Development, Test, and Production).

Will be responsible for appropriate regulatory compliance processes.

Will work closely with Business Unit Technology leaders and other Technology leaders to design, implement and deliver world class hosting services and architectures at world class prices to other Business Units.

Will be responsible for execution of Change and Problem management under ITIL framework and implementation and adherence to ITIL methodologies.

Will negotiate with and manage 3rd party vendors to meet business needs and deliverables within budget constraints.

Work with the Executive leadership to ensure the use of technology to enhance the companys business returns though the use of technology growing the business margins.

Direct the design of new systems that ensure the availability of computing systems to meet the Service Level Agreements of our clients.
Direct and maintain the planning and production activity for the production data centers.

Be a thought leader to the Sr. Management for products and services to improve performance of our products and services, while improving our margins of profitability.

Develop and grow our staffs technical skills and leadership decision making.

Responsible for adherence and implementation of ITIL methodologies, including Change and Problem Management.

Build, manage and maintain the production processing Facilities and Systems (Data Centers) for the company including technical and printing hardware and middleware ensuring maximum recoverability and availability.

Negotiate with and manage 3rd party vendors to meet business needs and deliverables within budget constraints.


Qualifications:

Advanced business or computer sciences degree, or equivalent related experience.

10+ Years senior management experience in a computing environment.

Ability and experience to manage, direct, and motivate, senior technical managers and technical staff.

Experience in computer hardware and software evaluation.

Effective purchase/ contract negotiation and selling skills.

Excellent inter-personal skills as well as written and verbal communications skills.
