Description

*General Management Responsibilities*

1. The Vice President is responsible for ensuring that his/her sales
team is skilled at selling total solutions, which entails identifying and closing qualified prospects that have needs for the complete complement of SunGardservices,including:Professional/Consulting Services, Disaster Recovery Services, Business Continuity Services, Network Services, Electronic Vaulting Services, High Availability/Advanced Recovery Services, Email Services, Production Availability Services, Software Services

2. Responsible for maintaining the highest quality sales team possible
by continually insuring the entire team is trained in all products/services
provided by SunGard.

3. Responsible for ensuring that all new additions to the sales team
are brought up to speed and are productive in the shortest timeframe possible.

4. Responsible for managing the volume and distribution of leads in the
assigned territory. The VP must make certain that every lead generated in
the assigned territory is contacted and qualified in a timely and
professional manner.

5. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the sales
forecast.

*Performance Management*

1. Motivate sales team to constantly improve its performance & provide
consistent performance feedback to AEs.

2. Take action to resolve performance problems on the sales team within
established HR guidelines, and terminate personnel when necessary.

3. Train AE's in new techniques or sales strategies.

4. Conduct territory review sessions with each AE at least once per
quarter and bi-weekly coaching sessions with all AE's to review reporting accuracy, overall pipeline management, new account coverage, existing account penetration, deal strategies, individual educational needs and win/loss rationale.

5. Strive to identify new business opportunities & new partnering
relationships at the executive level.

Experience/Skills
Qualifications : - Degree or applicable business experience required.
- Previous management or supervisory experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience.
- Ability to motivate team to reach assigned sales and performance
goals.
- Ability to cultivate and coordinate internal and external key
relationships.
- Ability to hire, train, cultivate and retain a team of top sales
professionals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
