Description
Position Summary:A web designer with 4 years or more experience in the field or in a related area. A goal focused, mature, well organized individual who can act and follow through with adequate direction. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This individual is capable of negotiating project schedules and delivering against committed project schedules. This individual will develop web designs from concept through prototype and will follow through by working with the web development team to implement the vision. A team player who works well with others in a fast paced, goal oriented environment. Must be able to interpret the brand and apply to e-commerce while maintaining brand standards in a commercially driven environment.Responsibilities:• New project concepts• Concepts for brand extension sites • HTML e-mails• Branded site updates• E-commerce site updates• Banner creative• Designs and constructs Web pages/sites, promotions, and similar projects• Researches and applies emerging media technologiesQualifications:• Excellent design skills.• Ability to appropriately use HTML, rich media and static content in a branded e-commerce environment.• Complete proficiency with Adobe Photoshop. High proficiency with Flash, Illustrator and inDesign.• Understanding of dynamic web site content and how it relates to web site design.• Strong retail or fashion experience desired.• Ability to design from concept development through execution of web site, html email, and on-line banner art are necessary skills. • Thorough understanding of overall web site design, including usability, industry standards, architecture and navigation is necessary. • Familiarity with other rich media environments is a plus. • Familiarity with digital photography for product presentation is a plus. • High energy, confidence, passion for the job, decisive eye for detail.• An agency background is a plus
