Description
Entertainment Research company is seeking a strong Windows Server Engineer for their White Plains, NY office.

Summary: The candidate will work as part of a 2 man team supporting the White Plains data center and desktops. The candidate will be expected to work hands on as well as providing technical guidance to the other member of the team.

Responsibilities: The candidate is expected to provide in depth expertise in troubleshooting problems with communications, networking, server and desktop OS=E2=80=99s as well as doing routine maintenance and installations.

Experience/Skills
Required experience with:
Windows 2000 server ,2003 server and XP
Linux
DNS
FTP SFTP FTPS, PGP

Experience with Suse enterprise 10 and/or Apache and MySQL is a plus

Candidate must have:
An ability to diagnose client issues communicating to an FTP server.
An ability to diagnose various mail related SMTP issues.
A good network troubleshooting abilities. Cisco and firewall-1 experience is a plus.
A good hardware knowledge, ability do diagnose and repair most computer related issues and work with the application development teem to recommend hardware solutions.
A working knowledge of hardware raid configurations.
Good communication skills.
