Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Wintel Engineer to join our team in Anaheim, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot various situations with customer interaction over the phone and/or in person.
  • Solve complex network server/application/infrastructure level problems on an individual level and interface with teams as needed.
  • Take calls on a rotating network helpdesk during business hours
  • Participate in On-Call rotation
  • Travel to various Sites and assist local IS-Staff as needed
  • Install and de-commission network Hardware/Software/3rd party requests as required
  • Perform system Hardware/Software upgrades as outlined/required by the manufacture and/or according to the project plan
  • Work with outside vendors (install, troubleshoot etc. software, hardware)
  • Adapt to changing client needs and learn new technologies
  • Ability to develop, update and maintain technical and operational documentation
  • Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to clients & all associates, and by having a positive attitude

    Required Skills:
  • Experience working in a large, enterprise environment
  • 5 years in systems support
  • 3-5 years experience working with TCP/IP LAN/WAN networked servers (Windows) and backup software/hardware devices (Veritas/KVS/ADIC) and SAN connectivity devices (Fibre Channel technology, McData and/or Brocade switches) preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of Windows and SQL clustered servers
  • Basic level of expertise with LAN/WAN network components and administration
  • Must have the abilities to consult with customers and assess customer needs, translate customer requirements to a design, rapidly learn and apply new technical knowledge, work in a project environment including planning, creating and executing project task.
  • Experience with IIS, clustering devices, VMWare, TCP/IP, Ethernet, TSM and SAN environment.
  • Project management and documentation skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks

    Desired Skills:
  • Experience maintaining Active Directory (i.e. Schema Master, Global Catalogs, Infrastructure)
  • Manage and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • Previous experience supporting Dell servers
  • Experience with problem resolution of hardware/software platform problems in complex, layered, client/server-based software
  • Active Directory Services Administration and troubleshooting
  • Windows NT4.0 to Active Directory migration hands on experience
  • Networking concepts, including experience with switches, routers, and hubs
  • Experience with Novell NetWare administration 4.x, 5.x, 6.x

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • MCSE
