Job Title: Main Frame QA Analyst




Job Desrciption:

Perform Quality Assurance testing support for scheduled z/OS application tests

*
In-depth knowledge of theWest Streetand Teleport MVS (not for those coming from outside)

environment including TSO, CICS and DB2 to support mainframe applications

*
TSO/ISPF, JCL, scheduling, File Transfers (FTP or NDM), 3270 emulator and

COBOL programming languages are required

*
Endevor knowledge will be a plus

*
Perform C&R testing support for mainframe critical applications

*
Must be able to provide phone support and communicate in writing via email with application support teams (KEY)



Responsibilities:

*
Perform pretest analysis based on application testing requirements

*
Determine the batch job streams and data sourcing requirements for the scheduled tests

*
Use FTP or NDM to source the necessary JCL, PROC, and programs from external environments (IDE or production)

*
Use FTP or NDM to source the necessary VSAM or flat files from production

*
Participate in scheduled conference calls and provide necessary QA testing support

*
Monitor test progress and debug abends and determine restart instruction

*
Monitor QA environments to ensure maximum system availability
